Mr Almighty Scribbles

This was awesome! I just had to post that i saddled my yearling gelding by my stallion for the first time ever and he never bucked or tried to run off! Here are some pictures and a short video.

RS Together Forever

So my boss has given me a two year old filly by a mare named Tie It Together by his stallion Missin Lena. I've been working with this filly since only the middle of October and can't believe how amazing she is! I've never broke a horse on my own and have been very scared of getting bucked off since a bad accident with a three year old i had bought a couple years ago. Anyway this filly hadn't been handled since she was a weanling except for a couple weeks last year. The first couple days we just lunged her with the saddle on and then i got on her. She was loping around the round corral on only the fifth ride, and now we are loping around the covered arena and working circles and sliding stops! Our goal for her is to run the poles, barrels, and keyhole next year at Pinto World in June. Will keep updating on this amazing filly!

Buffalo Roundup

This is a great annual event that we now go on! On Tuesday, October 21st we left and went up to Antelope Island to do the Buffalo Roundup. It was great fun, we had everyone there this year. My mom & Dad, me & trevor, and my aunt teri. Trevor's mom's horse tried to throw him every morning when we started out but he held on tight. Reggie decided that he wanted to be up with the buffalo the whole time so it was like riding a racehorse, him trying to run and me not letting him. We all had a blast! Pictures can be seen here

Mapleton Trail Ride

We finally got to go on the Mapleton trail ride! It was a georgous ride! Great for training young horses and horses that are shy about water. We had to go over bridges and walk on rocks through the water. It was a blast. I rode our new bay mare and trevor rode his mom's mare. Both were great! My mom's horse dunny decided that he didn't like water at first, but after two crossings he decided it wasn't too bad! Here are some pictures from the ride. We will hopefully be going up next spring and will be taking our young horses up with us! Pictures can be seen here!
