Finding our perfect christmas tree!

Well my dad & I went down and bought two tree tags so we could go cut down our christmas tree this year. This will be our first christmas tree for Trevor & I. Last year we had a small fake one that we didn't decorate since it was a fiber optic tree. So my mom, dad, latricia, trevor & I got up early and drove up to American Fork and ate some good breakfast at Cracker Barrel and when we were leaving my dad realized that they had left the saw at home. So then we stopped at Cal Ranch and got a saw then headed up to scofield to cut our tree. At Scofield turnoff we dropped dani off to her boyfriend so they could go to a wedding and we continued up. We ended up in a really nice small canyon and Trevor & Ward went up into the mountains while my mom & I sat down at the bottom with the four wheelers. We waited and waited and waited some more before we finally decided to walk up a little ridge to look and see if we could find them. It turned out to not being a small ridge but the side of a small pond. It was still pretty cool and there were some small streams running away from it. It was so peaceful but as we were walking along the edge we came along some small cat prints that were really fresh and that were falling right along some older footprints! It freaked me out sowe started yelling for the guys and about 15 minutes later they appeared with two beautiful trees! We got them home and now we will be decorating them! Pictures will be coming soon!

Mr Almighty Scribbles

This was awesome! I just had to post that i saddled my yearling gelding by my stallion for the first time ever and he never bucked or tried to run off! Here are some pictures and a short video.

RS Together Forever

So my boss has given me a two year old filly by a mare named Tie It Together by his stallion Missin Lena. I've been working with this filly since only the middle of October and can't believe how amazing she is! I've never broke a horse on my own and have been very scared of getting bucked off since a bad accident with a three year old i had bought a couple years ago. Anyway this filly hadn't been handled since she was a weanling except for a couple weeks last year. The first couple days we just lunged her with the saddle on and then i got on her. She was loping around the round corral on only the fifth ride, and now we are loping around the covered arena and working circles and sliding stops! Our goal for her is to run the poles, barrels, and keyhole next year at Pinto World in June. Will keep updating on this amazing filly!

Buffalo Roundup

This is a great annual event that we now go on! On Tuesday, October 21st we left and went up to Antelope Island to do the Buffalo Roundup. It was great fun, we had everyone there this year. My mom & Dad, me & trevor, and my aunt teri. Trevor's mom's horse tried to throw him every morning when we started out but he held on tight. Reggie decided that he wanted to be up with the buffalo the whole time so it was like riding a racehorse, him trying to run and me not letting him. We all had a blast! Pictures can be seen here

Mapleton Trail Ride

We finally got to go on the Mapleton trail ride! It was a georgous ride! Great for training young horses and horses that are shy about water. We had to go over bridges and walk on rocks through the water. It was a blast. I rode our new bay mare and trevor rode his mom's mare. Both were great! My mom's horse dunny decided that he didn't like water at first, but after two crossings he decided it wasn't too bad! Here are some pictures from the ride. We will hopefully be going up next spring and will be taking our young horses up with us! Pictures can be seen here!

New Horses & cold wet weather

Well, we were going to go up to Mapleton for a trail ride, but it got canceled due to the bad weather, so we spent the day hanging out and cleaning house. It's crazy to keep a house clean with three dogs and four cats!

Trevor's mom decided she wanted a new horse so we got her a beautiful buckskin mare that is sweet as a button!

We also ended up putting my mom's old cutting mare and my big racehorse down on friday night due to health problems and old age. It's been rough times as we had to put my mom's three dogs down a week ago.

Good news is we decided to find a mare for my mom or me to ride of buffalo roundup. We ended up getting a beautiful bay mare that has done cutting and reining! She is going to be a great horse for riding club! After 6 years of not being rode i was able to jump on her and go for it! I absolutely love her! Pictures to come soon!

We'll be going back to mapleton on saturday to try our trail ride again so look for pics of that coming soon!

Doctor Update!

Yesterday we took trevor to the doctor and he got a clear report that he is doing good! We also went and signed on our house. Lower interest rate so it's all good! Soon i'll get pictures of our house, it's still in the works as to getting finished!

I was also finally able to pull some pictures off my camera from when we took bruce's son to Elko, NV. Here is a picture of him. He is doing so good! He will be started under saddle this winter so hopefully we can show him at the Pinto World Championships in Tulsa, OK June of 2009. He is so much like his dad, it makes me sad but happy at the same time. He took third!

R.I.P. Bruce

Mister Bruce Almighty was one of the greatest horses i have had the privilege to own and show and work with. He was truly a one of a kind horse. He could act like a stud when he wanted to but then turn around and be a complete teddy bear who loved to be bathed, brushed, and just loved on. He was euthanized at 3am this morning after colicing and twisting his gut. Sadly there was nothing we could do to save him. He will be missed very much especially by me. He was one of those that you couldn't help but love because he loved you back and loved to please you more than anything.

I don't know how it will go for a while as this was very devastating to me. Happily, i know he is somewhere better where he won't suffer anymore. I will miss you tons bruce! Hopefully your great spirit will live on in the seven foals you will hopefully bless us with this coming spring!

I love you my big gentle giant!

Great News!

So everything went well with Trevor last Wednesday! He seems to be doing better. Hopefully it stays that way.

On Friday, My mom & I loaded up my paint stallion Mister Bruce Almighty & his son Mr Almighty Scribbles and headed to Elko, NV for a futurity! It was a great experience. We took third and brought home some money! I'm so excited for this young colt. He is not the biggest horse in the pen but no matter where you go he doesn't get excited or act stupid. We had horses running around us and the baby horses crying for their moms and he laid his head on the rail and fell asleep. I will be adding pictures soon.

This wednesday, I'm heading to ogden for a week to show horses and run my palomino Reggie in a big barrel race and the barrel racing in the show! Wish me luck!

Doctors! Doctors! Doctors!

So after 15 months, 4 hospital visits and not going to the hospital twice, we might have found out what is wrong with my hubby Trevor! He wakes up in the morning and vomits and doesn't stop! First time he got sick we found out that he is very sensitive to morphine, (baby dose almost stopped his heart and he turned blue, while i was showing my stallion at the arena), second time waited for 45 minutes before finally getting seen at our local hospital, got the pain stopped and fluids into him! 3rd time waited two hours to be seen at local hospital then finally took him to Utah Valley in Provo and got the same stuff! What makes me real mad is that no doctors can figure out what is wrong at this point! they just say it is a stomach flu! And he got sick twice and was able to stay home. Finally, Yesterday, 9/1/08 we went to the hospital again over him getting sick! The doctor gets his pain stopped and sends him in for a HIDA Scan which took two hours and the doctor has finally figured out what it might be. His gallbladder is bad! Finally we've found out the problem, hopefully! So, Next wednesday we got into American Fork for Surgery! Hopefully this helps! With all the new technology you would think it would have been found earlier than this! But hopefully we've got it solved! Keep fingers crossed!

About Us

Trevor & I met in June of 2006. He was working for the same company as my mom. He was a mechanic. My mom introduced us and neither one of us would really talk to each other! It was really funny, He asked my mom, if he could ask me on a date. My mom said yes, and invited him out to the County Fair where our riding club was taking tickets. We talked to each other a little bit and after we were done with tickets we watched the rest of the rodeo, where our friend Jack & Tami's kids wouldn't let go of me or trevor. It was a fun night and i invited him to come watch me barrel race the next day. If any of you know, even for barrel racers, barrel racing can be boring, especially 4 hours of it. But he stuck it out and has attended barrel races, horse shows, and dance recitals since then. I love him more than anything! On November 3, 2007 we made it official and started out our new life together. People have all asked me how the married life is, in my opinion things are better now than when we were dating. We now have our own house and 3 dogs, 3 cats, and numerous horses! Keep reading for more updates! I doubt he'll be on here much but i'll be trying to keep it up!

Select World Show

So, a horse that i have been fitting for the last year, Clu Me In (chloe) went to the AQHA Select World Show and won Reserve World Champion today! YAY!! I'm so excited for her owner, Carol, as she went into the pen really worried about the mare being the smallest in the class. Just goes to show that sometimes you don't have to be the biggest in the class to win it!
